Dr. Swaminathan Sivaram

Honorary Professor and INSA Senior Scientist, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, (IISER) Pune, Dr. Sivaram holds an M.Sc. in Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (1967), and a Ph.D. from Purdue University, USA (1971). Dr. Sivaram’s research interests include synthetic polymer chemistry, high performance polymers; surface chemistry of polymers; porous polymers for renewable energy applications; biodegradable polymers, polymers from renewable resources, polymer nanocomposites and organic-inorganic hybrids; and structure-property relationship in polymers. Dr. Sivaram has several national and international awards to his credit. In 2006 he was awarded the Padma Shri by the President of India.
