Dr. Ashish Bavdekar

A paediatric gastroenterologist, Dr. Bavdekar is Director of the Department of Paediatrics at the KEM Hospital Pune. Also serving as a Consultant in Paediatric Research, he has a special interest in clinical research, epidemiology and biostatistics, and has been at the helm of several Phase I/II/III vaccine and drug trials. Dr. Bavdekar is also a Consultant in Paediatric Research at KEMHRC’s Vadu centre. He is a member of the WHO Product Development for Vaccines Advisory Committee, and Chairperson, Collegium of Clinical Research Excellence (CCRE) – Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. Dr. Bavdekar is on the Editorial Board of the Scientific World journal and has been Past Chairperson, Paediatric Gastroenterology Chapter, Indian Academy of Paediatrics.
